At Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley, our mission is “transforming disabilities into abilities” through purposeful work and life experiences in a community farm setting. We work closely with local families and agencies to connect individuals with purposeful work that fills their spirits, sharpens their minds, and cultivates joy.
Each growing season, we hire 20+ employees to help with farm and garden operations, and ensure a successful harvest. Learn more about employment opportunities and apply below!
Garden Engineers
Ages 16+ | Mid-May through Mid-October
Experience firsthand the joys of producing a bountiful harvest, while planting, weeding, harvesting, washing, packing, and engaging in other farm-related tasks. They work together as a team, leading efforts to operate the farm’s CSA program, a model that connects themselves as “farmers” to the community.
While working alongside our devoted supervisors and volunteers who support them in their employment journey, they truly have the opportunity to discover their passions, strengths, and abilities.
Garden Supervisors
Ages 17+ | Mid-May through Mid-October
Experience Each season we hire Garden Supervisor positions, individuals who work with the Garden Manager to help lead efforts in the garden and oversee our teams of Garden Engineers.
Garden Supervisors are not direct supervisors to employees, but more so act as a “shift supervisor” while working. Tasks generally include leading teams in planting, weeding, harvesting, washing, and packing. Additionally, they may be asked to supervise stations at Farmers Markets and/or CSA pick-up locations.
