CSA PROGRAM

**UPDATE: 2022 CSA SIGN-UPS ARE NOW CLOSED

WHAT IS A CSA?

CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture”. CSA programs are intended to build a relationship between community members and local food sources. By partaking in a farm’s CSA program, you purchase a share in their crops at the beginning of a growing season. The farm then uses membership fees to cover the cost of seeds, equipment, labor, etc. In return, shareholders receive freshly picked, seasonal produce each week throughout the season. As a member of a CSA program, you will know where, how, and by whom your produce is being grown.

Being a member of a CSA program comes with many benefits:

  • Enjoying fresh, high-quality, nutritious produce

  • Helping to eliminate CO2 emission relating to the transportation and refrigeration of produce

  • Supporting your local economy

  • Building relationships with the individuals growing your food

  • Trying new produce you may not have tried elsewise

OUR CSA PROGRAM:

As a shareholder in our CSA program, you will enjoy fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables for a minimum of 12-14 weeks, beginning in late June and finishing in September. Along with the locally-grown produce that you will receive each week, you will also be provided with a list of the produce included, as well as recipe ideas for using that produce. You will be responsible for picking up your CSA box each week at the location you select when signing up.

By purchasing a CSA box membership from Farm in the Dell, not only are you supporting a local farm, but you are also creating a lasting impact on our organization. With your support, Farm in the Dell can continue to provide meaningful employment for disabled individuals in the Fargo-Moorhead Area.
