Who We Are
Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley is currently raising awareness and funds to build a home and work site on a farm for people who have disabilities in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Please contact us if you wish to find out more information about helping support those with disabilities in our area.
First Fruits Program
We are looking for caring individuals to nominate a family (single parent home, widow/widower, military family, etc.) or a charity (pregnancy shelter, homeless shelter, recovery center, etc.) who would be blessed by a box of veggies one week. Please fill out the following info and we will contact you to set it up. (All information is kept confidential.) Click here to nominate someone.
How will the FM Community benefit from the Farm?
The success of the Farm program will rely on the support and involvement of the local communities. This will lead to the residents leading lives of purpose and fulfillment. The Farm will create jobs for people with disabilities who wish to work in a rural, relaxed setting, but choose to live in the city.
It's up to the residents what work will be available on the Farm, but current Farms do everything from pet boarding to delivering fresh cut flowers to area offices and government buildings. Fall festivals, barn dances, harvest parties, a pumpkin patch and the like will provide much needed funds to run the Farm and entertainment for the entire community! Classrooms may wish to use the Farm as a field trip destination.
Residents will enjoy working in a relaxed, calm atmosphere allowing them to take pride in their workplace and their home.
Residents of current Farm in the Dells are involved in a variety of daily chores such as caring for animals, planting, growing and harvesting crops. The Farm will develop its own horticultural and agricultural programs according to the abilities and interests of the residents.
The job opportunities for people with disabilities and those who wish to serve them are endless! The Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley can be a promised land for those seeking a closer relationship with God and with His Creation.
Currently we are maintaining a 100' x 150' garden space graciously donated by Catalyst Medical Center with the help of amazing community volunteers! If you like to garden, help people or just love sunshine and laughter, this is the place for you! Join our G-Crew today!
A 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to building Farm programs through the world.
This is only possible with the help of caring individuals focused on providing a home where individuals with disabilities can live healthy and productive lives.
The Farm in the Dell Foundation works to build community-based, self-supporting farming homes for the disabled. The Foundation works to acquire land, build the home, begin the farm, and integrate the entirety into the local community in a way that is beneficial for both the community and the residents and workers at the farms.
The Farm in the Dell International Foundation has worked for nearly four decades to bring a new way of life to the developmentally disabled of the world. The Farm in the Dells, started in Montana and now found far and wide, give back to their communities in amazing ways.
